What Are the 2027 M4 Trims & Features?
BMW offers the 2027 M4 in three main trim levels: Base, Competition, and Competition xDrive. Both coupe and convertible body styles are available.
Featuring a performance-oriented rear-wheel drive system, the base M4 delivers more than enough thrills to excite most driving enthusiasts. It also surrounds you with pure luxury. The stunning BMW Curved Display combines a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The Competition trim packs more power under the hood. It also comes equipped with larger wheels wrapped in upgraded performance tires. Remote engine start and Digital Key capability are included as well.
At the top of the lineup sits the Competition xDrive trim, which adds even more power and BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system for enhanced traction.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2027 M4 Have?
Under the hood is BMW's exhilarating M TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine. The base M4 produces 473 horsepower, while the Competition trim generates 503 horsepower thanks to special tuning. Meanwhile, output rises to a staggering 523 horsepower in the Competition xDrive trim. Although some drivers will prefer the base M4's six-speed manual transmission, the eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission found in the Competition trims is equally engaging. An M Sport suspension and an Active M Differential also come standard, enabling the M4 to deliver sensational handling.
