What Are the 2024 8 Series Trims & Features?
The base 8 Series trim is the 840i. This trim level has much to offer, even though it's the first in the lineup. The 840i has an upscale cabin with dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, heated armrests, ambient interior cabin lighting, and heated front seats that are both power-adjustable and soft-close doors. Its exterior includes heated mirrors, high-performance brakes, an adaptive suspension system, and 19-inch wheels. The base trim has a head-up display, a 16-speaker audio system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen that includes navigation, a wireless charging pad, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, WiFi, and a digital instrument display. You can also monitor the car and control some functions remotely with a smartphone app.
The 840i xDrive is the second trim in the 8 Series lineup. This trim has the same equipment and technology as the base model, but all-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel steering is optional, and you can also get a folding fabric top.
Next in line is the M850i xDrive. This trim level has larger 20-inch wheels and ventilated front seats. The M850i also has some performance-specific adaptations, including a sport-tuned transmission, adaptive sport suspension, and active roll stabilization.
Several packages are available, including a Driving Assistance package, a Driving Assistance Professional package, and a Cooling and High-Performance Tire package for the M850i.
Rear-wheel steering, wood and metal interior accents, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, and a carbon-fiber roof are optional features.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2024 8 Series Have?
The 840i trims have the same engine, a turbo 3.0L V6 capable of 335 horsepower and up to 368 pound-feet of torque. The 840i trim has rear-wheel drive, while the 840i xDrive has all-wheel drive. The M850i uses a turbo V8 engine that cranks out 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque.
What Safety Features Does the 2024 8 Series Include?
