While BMW may be best known for producing vehicles worldwide, the automaker also has a charitable arm dedicated to supporting worthy causes. Recently, BMW Group joined with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations to honor a U.S. grassroots initiative called “Content Creation Lab.” The ceremony took place at the 10th annual United Nations of Civilizations (UNAOC) Global Forum.
The grassroots initiative “Content Creation Lab” is a product of the organization Global Nomads Group. Global Nomads Group is based in the U.S., and Content Creation Lab is one of its 10 initiatives in the country. Global Nomads Group was honored as a recipient of the Intercultural Innovation Hub (IIH) award, which is a collaboration between BMW Group and UNAOC.
Although Global Nomads Group and the Content Creation Lab are a U.S.-based initiative, the awards ceremony took place in Cascais, Portugal, and the 10th annual UNAOC Global Forum. The forum's official title was “United in Peace: Restoring Trust, Reshaping the Future - Reflecting on Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity.” As in past years, this year's forum was nothing short of impressive, with an audience that included prominent political figures, political leaders, UN representatives, and other distinguished individuals. Collectively, they came together to share their thoughts and reflections on the UNAOC's work over the past 20 years.

About Content Creation Lab
Content Creation Lab started in 1998 with several college-age friends who wanted to connect young people around the world to create dialogues and meaningful conversations. They accumulated equipment to support their initiative and ventured to Sudan, Iraq, Rwanda, and Syria in the process. Content Creation Lab sparked the Global Nomads Group.
