The 2018 BMW M Series is BMW's newest vehicle to officially hit the markets and the latest from their own M Series model line. Available Trim Levels & Features

The 2018 M Series comes with its own set of trim levels, which in turn have their own set of features to make them unique. The M Series only has three specific trims, which function more as special car packages with their own different styles added. Standard versions of the vehicle come with basic features like LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, heated front seats with power adjustments, dual zone climate control and auto-dimming mirrors. The Competition package gets a bit more beefed up, with features like a much-improved engine with better suspension and 20-inch forged wheels. The Driving Assistance package contains more safety features, like a lane departure warning system, forward collision warning and a special display that accurately detects the speed limit on a given roadway. The Executive package is made more for convenience and comfort, with upgrades such as more adaptive headlights, auto high beams, a heated steering wheel, an improved heads-up display and special automated parking.

Engine, Transmission & MPG Specs

2018 BMW M Series PerformanceThe 2018 BMW M Series has been fitted with an engine that can appropriately deal with the workload and endurance needed for its size. The BMW M Series has an engine that can generate a highly staggering 425 horsepower rating and run up to 5,500 wheel rotations per minute, while also getting 406 pounds by feet of total torque. The BMW can run on premium unleaded gasoline, in fact this is the required fuel kind accepted. However for a sedan, the fuel economy sits at a rather generic 20 combined miles per gallon, grabbing 17 MPGs when riding through the city and 25 MPGs when on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive keep the engine steady and functioning at its normal rate when being operated.

Safety First

2018 BMW M Series RearThe BMW M Series is decked out with tons of special safety features and measurements to ensure it is a secure ride. As a sedan it can seat a total of five people, and being a family vehicle safety is the first priority. To start off, the car contains the standard protective features for children such as child seating anchors and rear door safety locks. An emergency braking preparation system has been included in the event of a brake failure, and this is backed up with an engine immobilizer and brake dying features to prevent such failures from occurring. A remote anti-theft alarm system is included to prevent theft or vandalism. In addition to this, special dusk-sensing headlights are added to sense the time of day, helping out the driver, and special cornering lights to promote more visibility in all directions.
