What's New For the 2021 BMW X Models?
The 2021 BMW X models combine versatile engineering with compact styling. Each model embodies the spirit of a sports vehicle and showcases aerodynamic prowess. Lineup highlights for the year include increased cargo space, more seating configuration, new BMW tech, and even more efficient drivetrain functions. Overall, there seems to be a new attitude among each build.
2021 BMW X Models & Features
For 2021, BMW X Models include the X1, X2, X3, X3 M, X4, X4 M, X5, X5 M, X6, X6 M and X7. The Sports Activity Vehicle and Sports Activity Coupe editions push the performance prowess of an X Model to a whole new level. In addition, the xDrive feature brings enhanced road-gripping traction in any situation.
Changes for 2021 across the X models are mainly with technology feature additions. On the BMW X1, SiriusXM with a 1-year All Access subscription is now offered as a standard amenity. Opting for other X models would offer similar changes to incorporate more standard technology features, such as the Active Driving Assistant, Android Auto compatibility, wireless charging, WiFi Hotspot, and remote start engine to name a few. These features are dependent on the model you chose and which packages you decide to add on.

BMW X Models Horsepower
At peak, X model engines - thanks to near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution - are capable of up to 612 horsepower. Two engine options with various drivetrain configurations equip the 2021 BMW X Models. The standard base engine on the X1, X2, X3 and X4 is a 2.0L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine with drivetrain configurations of either front or all-wheel drive. The X4 has standard rear-wheel drive as its drivetrain configuration. The remaining X Models - X5, X6 and X7 - offer a 3.0L turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine with rear-wheel drive as the standard drivetrain and offers optional all-wheel drive configuration.
The coupe-inspired construction owes much to the inclusion of the xDrive28i with 228 horsepower, going 0-60 in 6.3 seconds. Intuitive, M design beefs up the trim on each model by way of sport-tuned power, thrilling performance, athletic handling, and intelligent all-wheel drive. Combined with the power of M, X models can conquer the street and trail with equal veracity in both automatic and manual.
2021 BMW X Models Safety
Drivers retain peace of mind behind the wheel with Active Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Active Driving Assistant and more. As mentioned before, some X models like the X3 and X4 now offer Active Driving Assistant as standard safety features instead of add-on packages. With this feature, advanced protection is delivered with confidence.
