Windshield wipers can undoubtedly last a whole year, but it's far more likely that you'll need to replace them sooner than that.

Signs that You Need New Windshield Wipers

The best way to know when to replace your windshield wipers is to look for certain signs. The first and most obvious is the state of the rubber wiper blades. These blades act as squeegees that wipe away water, snow, and any debris that gets onto your windshield. They can also crack or wear away fairly quickly. They should be checked at least once a month for signs of wear and tear. If the rubber is rough to the touch, the blades should be replaced.
