What Are the 2025 2 Series Trims & Features?

The 2025 BMW 2 Series comes in 230i, M240i, and M2 trims. The 230i packs enough performance for most driving enthusiasts and is loaded with a plethora of great features. BMW's seamless iDrive infotainment system provides a 14.9-inch display with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone connectivity. Meanwhile, sport seats help promote a comfortable yet supportive drive. Other notable standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, and a 10-speaker audio system.

Drivers seeking an even more capable sports car will be interested in the M240i. In addition to packing more power under the hood, it also comes standard with adaptive M Sport suspension and M Sport brakes. An aerodynamic body kit further sets apart the M240i.

Atop the performance ladder sits the race-bred M2 model. Not only is the M2 the lineup's most powerful trim, but it also adds a Harman Kardon surround-sound audio system and heated M Sport seats to the list of standard equipment.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 2 Series Have?

The 230i uses a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower. Power is fed to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, BMW's popular xDrive AWD system is an option.

Motivating the 240i is a 3.0-liter, TwinTurbo Power six-cylinder engine. It pushes out a muscular 382 horsepower, thus allowing you to achieve an estimated 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds. This more aggressive trim also features an eight-speed automatic transmission. While rear-wheel drive is standard, you can opt for XDrive all-wheel drive.

While the top-of-the-line features a similar turbocharged six-cylinder engine, BMW specially tunes it to develop 473 horsepower. A special M-tuned exhaust adds to the car's driving excitement. Choose between an eight-speed M Sport automatic and a six-speed manual transmission. Keep in mind that the high-performance M2 is only available with a rear-wheel drive layout.

What Safety Features Does the 2025 2 Series Include?

The new 2 Series comes standard with confidence-inspiring safety technologies, including Active Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and Frontal Collision Warning. Available upgrades, such as adaptive cruise control, further decrease driving stress.
