What's New for the 2024 BMW iX?

The BMW iX is the first electric SUV from BMW. The iX makes a grand entrance into the market of electric SUVs with top ratings, a sleek and polished design, and luxurious interior features. Great range, agility, and fun driving performance add to its appeal. The iX doesn't have major updates this year, but you can now precondition the battery independently.

What Are the 2024 iX Trims & Features?

There are two models available with the 2024 BMW iX.

The base trim is called the xDrive50. All-wheel drive is standard, and the base model has large 20-inch wheels. The xDrive50 also has a power liftgate, along with a panoramic sunroof with automatic shade tinting. The cabin has four-zone climate control and standard ambient interior lighting. The base trim's front seats are both heated and power-adjustable. Synthetic leather upholstery covers the seats for a comfortable ride. The base model also has a heated steering wheel. For technology, you'll get a wireless phone charging pad, a 12-speaker sound system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to start with.

The second trim, the iX M60, adds even more. This trim level has larger 21-inch wheels and adaptive laser headlights. The top trim also has upgraded brakes and ventilated front seats. The door panels, armrests, and rear seats are heated on this trim. The M60 also has an upgraded Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

Package features include a head-up display, massaging front seats, a cabin camera, a WiFi hotspot, glass-covered controls, and soft-close doors.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2024 iX Have?

The 2024 iX has two electric motors and a battery pack. With this system, the base model gets up to 516 horsepower and reaches 564 pound-feet of torque, but the top trim gets even more power at 610 horsepower. The M60's torque output also increases to 749 pound-feet. The electric range also varies by trim. The base model will reach approximately 324 miles of range on a single electric charge, and the top trim will reach up to 288 miles based on EPA estimates. All-wheel drive is standard, and both trims have DC fast-charging capabilities up to 195 kW.
