What's New for the 2024 BMW 7 Series?

The 7 Series is a newer addition to the BMW lineup but has already made a name for itself as a standout vehicle. It is a luxury electric sedan with all the features you'd expect of a BMW sedan and electric range. The 7 Series was only introduced in 2023, but nevertheless, the 2024 model gets updates, including an infotainment system upgrade, a plug-in hybrid, and optional all-wheel drive.

What Are the 2024 7 Series Trims & Features?

The base trim level is called the 740i. This trim's standard exterior features include adaptive LED headlights and 20-inch wheels. Inside, the base trim has a heated steering wheel, heated front and back seats, soft-close doors, and leather upholstery. The cabin has four climate control zones and multi-color ambient lighting. The standard audio system is a Bowers & Wilkins system with 18 speakers. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument panel, and a wireless smartphone charging pad, are included. The base trim has navigation as well as a 14.9-inch touchscreen.

The second trim, the 750e xDrive, adds additional features. This trim has a different electric motor, standard all-wheel drive, and approximately 35 miles of range.

Topping the line is the 760i xDrive, which also has all-wheel drive. This trim also has an upgraded engine, and its interior adds ventilated front seats.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2024 7 Series Have?

The base model has a turbo 3.0L engine that produces 375 horsepower. Rear-wheel drive is standard with this trim, but you can get all-wheel drive instead. The base trim also has an automatic eight-speed transmission.

The second trim level adds a powerful electric motor to the base engine, resulting in a power output of 483 horsepower and more electric range. Only all-wheel drive is available.

The top trim level has a stronger V8 turbo engine, which powers the 760i up to 536 horsepower. As with the second trim, only all-wheel drive is included on the top trim.

What Safety Features Does the 2024 7 Series Include?

Standard safety aids include blind-spot warning, forward collision warning, automatic braking, parking sensors, and an automated parking system. A Driving Assistance Professional package with more safety aids is available.
